Our History

In the 1960’s, the founding family of Ioannis Theocharis Senior, officially ventured into the hospitality service on Platis Gialos Beach. As a new family business, parents and children participated in offering rooms to let, cooking homemade Greek dishes, and leisure services on the pristine beach of Platis Gialos. The family produced most products themselves: fresh, local vegetables in their garden, vast fruit trees, in addition to having their own poultry and animal farms right nearby. Other products, such as freshly baked breads, were delivered each early morning by local bakers and suppliers.

Those were the times of trading goods, such as olive oil for produce, so virtually everything was local, fresh and handmade. Each family member enjoyed sharing the true sense of Greek Hospitality directly to each and every visitor, from the moment they were picked up at the port, to the time of departure. 50 years later, the Theocharis family continues the business through today; sons, daughters, children and grandchildren all still taking part in making the engine of the business run.
